March 31, 2010

No matter how tired I am, I ALWAYS wash my face before bed.

March 30, 2010

This week is full of late-night routine shots.  Me - sans makeup.

March 29, 2010

This picture is awful - I set the camera to do a timed photo, only I messed up and focused on myself while I was right in front of the camera, then backed up to be next to the door to my office.  Oh well.  This was a really long day - I was at the office until almost 10:00 pm, which isn't awful, but still isn't the most fun thing to do.
Another view of my office but from the doorway this time.  I need some art or a plant or something I think.

March 28, 2010

Paige and Mike had us over tonight for some awesome hamburgers.  It was such a summery dinner to have.  Then they came back over to our place to play Ticket to Ride and Wii Sports Resort.  Paige and I sat at the kitchen table and discussed the merits and demerits of visiting teaching.  I look pretty concerned.

March 27, 2010

Another fun Saturday starting out with donuts at SK Donuts in Saratoga.

Then on to the Farmer's Market.  I bought local honey because Bakeshow told me that it will help with my allergies.  And because I love honey.

We also sampled the naan and indian food.  Yum.

Late night again.  Last minute picture before bedtime.

March 22, 2010

I scream, you scream.  It has been a while since we made or bought ice cream.  This is my favorite flavor combo - rocky road and strawberry with half a banana.

March 21, 2010

Paul's parents are in town, along with his Grandma, so we went up to Paul's aunt and uncle's house for Sunday dinner.  We spent the whole afternoon there enjoying good company and food.

I had a great time playing with Paul's cousins' kids.  They are so much fun.  This guy has such a great personality and loves to be chased.  He also gives lots of hugs.

While watching Home Alone 2, Bella (the 2-year-old with the ponytail below) fell asleep on my lap.  It melted my heart.  Not to brag, but I'm pretty popular with the eight-and-under crowd.  I can't get enough of them crawling up onto my lap, manueverng for position so that I can flip through a picture book for them.

March 20, 2010

We drove about 3 hours south to meet up with friends/my former roommate and her husband (my former home teacher) from back in the day at BYU.  Montana del Oro is a beautiful state park with cliff-side trails, beaches, tidepools, and fields of flowers (not quite in bloom yet).  Their two kids are adorable and we had a fun time catching up on each others' lives, hiking around, and playing with their kids.  We found a starfish and I was brave and held it.

March 19, 2010

We went out for dinner with our friend Nikki.  But when we got home I decided I had to go running in order to accomplish a goal of going four times this week.  It wasn't easy, but I made it happen.

St. Patrick's Day, of course!  At our mailbox.

March 16, 2010

This picture is kind of embarassing that I am sticking my tongue out.  I was at a really fancy dinner at the Four Seasons in San Francisco and I was standing out on a balcony with colleagues from work.  I was trying to surreptiously take a photo with my phone while they were distracted, so I was concentrating hard (hence the tongue sticking out) and smiling at the same time.  Not my best photo.  But you can see a cathedral and the new Jewish museum in the background.

March 14, 2010

We had such a fun Sunday dinner with friends.  Jason and Ginny had us over to their house for tri-tip, creamy potatoes, an amazing salad that Paige made, Ginny's homemade rolls and cinnamon honey, and cobbler and cupcakes for dessert.  Afterwards we played Turbo Cranium and discussed gun control and what its like for all of us to live in the Bay Area.  I adore their living room and think the photo of the Golden Gate Bridge above the fireplace is super cool.

We live there.  Second floor.

March 12, 2010

Having my hair done on a Friday night.  I had so many split ends I couldn't stand it.  I didn't like the girl I went to though and I am going to have to look for somebody else.  First, she cut way more off my hair than I would like.  Second, the cut she gave me isn't very flattering - the layers are too short and come up too high on my face making me look chubby - I prefer longer layers.  Third, she had absolutely zero personality and was super uninteresting to talk to in the requisite "I'm cutting your hair and thus we must chat and get to know each other" session.

March 11, 2010

I've already posted a photo of me driving to work, but this is a photo of me driving home from work.  The grass is so green and beautiful in Palo Alto.

March 10, 2010

Healthy eaters.  We had grilled asparagus, zucchini and montreal spiced chicken breast for dinner after working out.  Yum.

March 9, 2010

I had training again in the city today.  After the insane day I had yesterday, I just couldn't bring myself to wear my contacts.  I liked this reflection in the window of my car as I was leaving the city with the skyscrapers behind me.
Then I came home and kept on working in my pajama bottoms and wicked witch of the west socks.

March 8, 2010

What a day.  I was supposed to drive into San Francisco this morning to attend the trial that I have been working on and observe some expert witness testimony.  I got up extra early so I could go into the office first and get some work done, then drove all the way to the federal courthouse in downtown SF only to realize that I forgot my wallet at home with all my identification in it.  You cannot get into the federal building without government i.d. and there was nothing I could do about it.  So I had to turn around, drive all the way home just to get my wallet, then drive all the way back to the city.  It was a lot of driving for one day.

March 7, 2010

My very most favorite television show is on on Sunday nights.  In tonight's episode they went to Germany - I LOVE Germany.  It made me want to travel really bad.

March 6, 2010

It was a busy Saturday, but we are really trying hard to go to the temple at least once a month this year, so we wanted to go today just in case the rest of the Saturdays in March are even busier.

March 5, 2010

This was a true Friday Night Date Night.  We went to dinner at Wahoo's Fish Tacos (so delicious - I loved mine) with Mike and Paige, friends from our ward.
Then we went to see a movie - "Alice in Wonderland".  It was amazing.  Like we woke up the next morning saying how we wanted to go back and see it again.  It won't be for everybody, but we loved it.  Check out these awesome photos I took in the dark of the theater.  Pretty amazing what a point-and-click camera can do when you can go in and save the photo with a little fill lighting in a photo-editing software afterwards.

March 4, 2010

In-N-Out.  I was craving a burger and fries, which is not something I normally do, so we went there for dinner.  Only after we finished eating did Paul confess that he had eaten at In-N-Out for lunch the day before. Is it just me or is the guy serving me the food checking me out?

March 3, 2010

Hot tubbing at our apartment complex after working out.  It started raining pretty hard though, so we had to leave.

March 2, 2010

Our Xerox center at work had an open house today.  Everybody who emailed a picture and went got a calendar made.  Pretty cool, huh?  I was distracted by a commercial on the TV.

March 1, 2010

So far so good.  I've done a photo a day for both January and February.  I can't believe its March now.
