Paul's BIRTHDAY!!!!

It involved wrapping presents,
baking a cake, frosting it, lighting candles then blowing them out,
and unwrapping presents.

June 22, 2010

Today is Paul's birthday eve and it is time for me to catch up on some past-due 365 blogging.  Only I don't have so many photos to post.  Boo me.

I tried to rid my hair of the blondness last Saturday.  I like it - it is closer to my natural color, kind of a caramelly brown.

June 13, 2010

My dad holding his one and only granddaughter.  He was watching golf and she was watching the camera.
I love how in this photo you can see my dad cracking up watching Emma eat.  She opens her mouth like a little bird as soon as she sees the spoon coming out of the bowl.  It is hilarious, but my dad getting the giggles is even more hilarious, which anyone who has heard him giggle can attest to.  Emma is looking at him like "Grandpa, what is wrong with you?"
She was supposed to be napping but woke up.  Jennie was playing Phase 10 with my parents, so I tried to put Emma back to sleep.  It never worked, but we spent a peaceful half an hour together with her just gazing placidly up at me.

June 11, 2010

It was fun having Friday off of work and being able to spend time with family.

Like this girl.  She loved her applesauce.

And it was fun seeing my sister and going out to lunch at Noodles.  Emma was so good the whole time.
Paul and I stayed at Dave and Deborah's house which is they remodeled.  It is gorgeous.  Paul helped install these floors.  Unfortunately, I stepped through a heating vent and cut up my leg.  It bled a lot, but I didn't cry.  Paul played doctor on my leg.  One thing I love about him is that he loves to take care of me when I am sick or hurt or sad, even though I tell him to get away from me.

I really should have taken a photo with the boxes of mission paraphenelia that Paul and I pulled out tonight looking for old mission letters.  My sister Jessica has been having a rough time adjusting to her mission (she's been out three months) and sent me a letter last week that made me wonder what my letters home were like at that point in my mission.  Only I couldn't find any, so I guess they are still packed away in Utah.

June 5, 2010

I love Saturdays so much.  Thursdays used to be my favorite day of the week for a long time, then Sundays, and now it kind of seems like Saturdays are the best.  Paul and I went for a jog first thing in the morning.  That's three or four Saturdays in a row now - pretty good methinks.  Then I got cleaned up and went to a baby shower for my friend Paige who lives in the same apartment complex and goes to church with me.  We made super adorable onesies for her little boy.  This is the one I made:

Afterwards Paul and I went around to open houses then drove down to the outlet stores at Gilroy to do some birthday shopping for Paul.  We stopped at Sonic at the end of the day to get a cherry limeade.
Is this a summer evening picture our what?

June 4, 2010

This was the second time Paul and I have tried this restaurant at Santana Row.  It is called Consuelo's and it is pretty good, although not my most favorite mexican food ever.  But I do think that it is really authentic.  We loved the open air seating and people watching that the restaurant offers.
