Paul finished his Boy Scouts of America training to be a Scout leader.  He has spent the past three Thursday nights from 6:00-9:30 p.m. sitting around with a bunch of men talking about the importance of scouting.  I don't think it was his favorite thing ever.

I made spaghetti for dinner.  I'm not really a big fan of spaghetti, but it is easy to make and we had all of the ingredients on hand.  Plus, I had planned it out at the start of this month and have been pretty good about making the meals that I have planned.  I also went for a run tonight (for the first time in ages).  My first run after a long stretch of no running is almost always a good one.  I only went for 2 miles on the treadmill but I was running at a 6.5 mile per hour pace, which is not too shabby for me.  Some of the girls at work are talking about doing a half marathon in May and I am being sucked into the idea.  But that would mean some serious training and I don't know that I can/want to commit to that right now.

Oh yeah, and our stove is ghetto and ugly and gross.

Pretty much every Sunday night for the last year I have written an email to my sister Jessica who is on her mission in Uruguay.  Tonight I was responding to a letter she had sent to me and Paul (just a one-pager) about New Year's resolutions.  She has been having a rough time lately so I was sharing some of my favorite scriptures too (Alma 61 - Pahoran's response to Moroni's letter of rebuke).  Normally I am fastidious about making our bed, but it didn't happen this Sunday.

Why am I starting this up again?  I don't know.  Well, actually, it is kind of because my friend Carrie is doing it and looking at her photos is so fun and awesome and it makes me want to upload my own.  Also, because I went back through last year's posts and it was SO much fun to remember all those images and the fun things that I did even when it felt like I wasn't doing anything at all.  So, here we go again.  I'm not going to worry about being so consistent this year though and will just do my best to post when I can.

I am checking out paint colors.  We are planning BIG THINGS for our little house.
